Steel Sheet & Plate Manufacturer & Supplier – Sino East Steel Group

Sino East Steel Group is a professional steel sheet manufacturer and steel plate supplier based in Tianjin, China. Since our founding in 2008, our ISO 9001:2015 certified factory has supplied hot rolled, cold rolled, galvanized and stainless steel sheets to buyers in more than 80 countries, supporting carbon steel plate wholesale programs for construction, machinery, shipbuilding and general fabrication. As a factory-direct steel sheet factory, we offer mill-level pricing with a flexible minimum order of 5 tons for stock sizes and 20 tons for custom specifications. Production and delivery typically take 15–30 days, and all orders ship from Tianjin Xingang Port on FOB, CFR, CIF or DDP terms.

Our processing lines cover sheets and plates from 0.3 mm to 200 mm in thickness, 600 mm to 3000 mm in width, and up to 12,000 mm in length. With in-house leveling, cutting, pickling and shot-blasting capacity, we deliver either standard mill plates or ready-to-fabricate cut pieces. Products comply with ASTM A36, ASTM A283, SS400, Q235B, Q345B and EN 10025, and every shipment can be accompanied by mill test certificates and third-party inspection by SGS, BV or TÜV.

Why Choose Sino East Steel Group as Your Steel Plate Supplier?

A steel plate order is often the largest material line in a project budget, and the cost of a wrong specification — the wrong grade, a loose thickness tolerance, or weak mechanical properties — is measured in delays, rework and even structural risk. Sino East Steel Group gives buyers the confidence of a manufacturer that controls chemistry, rolling and testing in-house, with 30+ years of experience behind every sheet and plate we ship.

1. Factory-Direct Manufacturing, No Middlemen

We are the steel sheet manufacturer behind the brand. Hot rolled sheet and plate are produced from controlled steelmaking and rolling processes, cold rolled sheet is processed on our own mills, and galvanized sheet is coated on our continuous lines. Buying directly from the steel sheet factory removes trader markups, gives you direct access to production scheduling, and means the people who answer your technical questions actually understand the product.

2. Full International Standards Compliance

Our carbon steel plate wholesale orders are produced to the standard your project requires: ASTM A36 and A283 for North American structural work, SS400 for Japanese specifications, Q235B and Q345B for Chinese GB/T applications, and EN 10025 for European markets. Every heat is sampled and archived, and mill test certificates report chemical composition and mechanical properties in full.

3. Stable Quality with Multi-Step Inspection

Quality begins with the chemistry of the melt and continues through rolling, leveling and cutting. In-line thickness gauges monitor gauge across the full width, dimensional checks verify length, width and squareness on every plate, and surface inspectors look for laminations, pits and scale before release. Heavy plates above 40 mm can be supplied with ultrasonic testing on request, and a final random re-test is performed before packing.

4. Flexible Supply for All Project Scales

Whether you need 5 tons of stock sheets for fabrication or 1,000 tons of structural plate for a bridge or high-rise project, we schedule production to match your program. We offer cut-to-length and flame-cut services, can mix grades and sizes in one container, and hold buffer stock of the most requested specifications so that urgent requirements can be dispatched quickly.

Steel Sheet & Plate Product Range

As a full-range steel sheet factory, we supply four product families that cover the great majority of sheet and plate demand. All are available in standard sizes or cut to your drawing.

Hot Rolled Steel Sheet & Plate

Hot rolled sheet and plate are the workhorses of the steel industry, produced by rolling blooms at high temperature. They offer excellent strength and weldability at an economical price, and are used for structural framing, machine bases, tanks, ship decks and general fabrication. We supply HR sheet from 1.5 mm and plate up to 200 mm thick, with optional pickling and oiling for a cleaner surface.

Cold Rolled Steel Sheet

Cold rolled sheet is hot rolled material further reduced at room temperature, giving tighter thickness tolerances, a smoother surface and better formability. It is the preferred substrate for automotive panels, appliances, office furniture, lockers and precision stampings. Available in thicknesses from 0.3 mm to 3.0 mm, with bright or matte finish, in coil or sheet form.

Galvanized & Stainless Steel Sheet

For corrosion-critical applications we supply galvanized steel sheet (hot-dip zinc coated, Z60–Z275) and stainless steel sheet in 304 and 316 grades. Galvanized sheet is used for roofing, cladding, ducts and agricultural buildings, while stainless sheet serves food processing, chemical, pharmaceutical and architectural applications where hygiene and corrosion resistance are non-negotiable.

Typical Applications of Steel Sheet & Plate

  • Building structures: columns, beams, base plates and connection plates for steel-framed buildings
  • Bridges and heavy civil engineering: girders, deck plates and pier components
  • Shipbuilding and offshore: hull plates, decking and platform fabrication
  • Machinery and equipment: frames, bases, housings and pressure-bearing components
  • Tanks, silos and pressure vessels (pressure vessel grades available on request)
  • Truck and trailer manufacturing: chassis frames, floors and body panels
  • General fabrication: gates, platforms, stairs, guards and workshop structures

Why Steel Sheet and Plate Quality Determines Project Safety

Unlike decorative products, steel plate carries structural responsibility: when a beam or a tank wall fails, the consequences are measured in safety, not just money. Three properties matter most. First, chemical composition and mechanical properties — yield strength, tensile strength and elongation must meet the specified grade, which is why we verify every heat against the standard and report it in the mill test certificate. Second, thickness tolerance: a plate that is thinner than specified reduces the safety factor of the whole structure, so we control gauge strictly and offer tighter tolerances for machined components. Third, internal soundness: heavy plates can hide laminations and inclusions, which is why ultrasonic testing is available for plates above 40 mm used in critical applications. A responsible steel plate supplier documents all three on every order.

How We Ensure Reliable Export Service

Sheet and plate exports demand careful handling: large dimensions, heavy unit weights and sensitive edges all affect loading, packing and freight cost. Our export team manages these details for customers in more than 80 countries.

Export Experience Across 80+ Countries

From containerized sheet programs for Southeast Asian fabricators to break-bulk plate shipments for Middle Eastern construction projects, we know how each destination market likes its steel delivered. Our freight partners in Tianjin secure competitive sea freight, and we plan loading diagrams that protect plate edges and keep bundles within container payload limits.

Professional Export Documentation

Every shipment includes commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, mill test certificate and certificate of origin, plus any destination-specific documents such as Form A, GSP certificates, fumigation certificates and third-party inspection reports. Our documentation team clears the paperwork so your cargo moves smoothly through both Chinese export procedures and the customs of the importing country.

Flexible Payment and Incoterms

We accept T/T with 30% deposit and 70% balance before shipment, and L/C at sight for qualified buyers. FOB Tianjin is our standard term, with CFR, CIF and DDP available for key markets. We can also arrange buyer-nominated inspection at the mill before loading, so you confirm quality before the vessel sails.

Buyer’s Guide: How to Choose a Reliable Steel Sheet & Plate Supplier

Start by defining the application, because the service class of the plate decides the grade you need: A36 and Q235B suit general structural work, Q345B or S355JR suit higher-load members, and pressure vessel or shipbuilding applications require dedicated grades with enhanced testing. Second, verify the supplier is a real steel sheet manufacturer: request the business license, production line evidence and a sample mill test certificate, and check that the certificate can be traced to the producing mill. Third, put the standard, grade, tolerance class and surface condition into the contract, and agree on the inspection clause — SGS or BV at the mill before shipment is standard practice for serious buyers. Fourth, compare landed cost: plate is heavy, so freight and packing efficiency can outweigh a small price difference per ton. Finally, start with a trial order of one or two containers, confirm the documentation and packing quality, and then scale up.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What is the difference between hot rolled and cold rolled steel sheet?

Hot rolled sheet is rolled at high temperature, giving a scaled surface, looser tolerances and a lower price; it is used where surface finish is not critical, such as structural members and machine parts. Cold rolled sheet is hot rolled material rolled again at room temperature, producing a smoother surface, tighter thickness tolerance and better formability for visible and precision parts like appliance panels and automotive components.

Q2: How do I choose between ASTM A36, SS400 and Q235B?

All three are general structural grades with similar yield strength levels (about 235–250 MPa), and for most structural applications they are interchangeable equivalents. Choose by market convention and availability: A36 is standard for North America, SS400 for Japanese drawings, and Q235B for Chinese GB/T specifications. For higher-strength members, Q345B or EN 10025 S355JR is a better choice, and our engineers can help you match the specification to your design code.

Q3: Can you supply steel plates cut to custom sizes?

Yes. We offer cut-to-length, flame-cut and plasma-cut services to your drawing dimensions, with cutting tolerances agreed in advance. Custom-cut plates are priced per piece including cutting cost, and we can also supply drilled, beveled or shot-blasted plates for fabrication-ready delivery.

Q4: What surface treatments are available for steel sheet and plate?

Standard supply is mill finish. Optional treatments include pickled and oiled (for a cleaner, scale-free surface), shot-blasted (for painting preparation), and primer-coated surfaces for corrosion protection during storage and transport. Stainless steel sheet can be supplied with 2B, BA or brushed finishes.

Q5: What is the maximum plate thickness, and how is heavy plate tested?

We supply plates up to 200 mm thick. Heavy plates for critical applications can be supplied with ultrasonic testing to confirm internal soundness, in addition to the standard chemical and mechanical testing reported in the mill test certificate. Third-party inspection can witness all tests before shipment.

Q6: How are steel sheets and plates packed for export?

Sheets are packed on steel pallets, strapped and wrapped with waterproof material to prevent rust and edge damage. Plates over 20 mm are bundled with wooden separators and steel straps, with edge protectors for sea freight. Container loading follows a verified packing diagram, and wood packing complies with ISPM 15 regulations.
