1.Selection of Scaffolding Base Materials

A.Carbon Structural Steel
Currently, scaffolding is primarily manufactured from carbon structural steel.
Q235 Steel: Offers good plasticity and weld-ability, suitable for general construction scaffolding.
Q345 Steel: A low-alloy high-strength structural steel offering superior strength and pressure resistance, suitable for projects with high load-bearing requirements.
Common specifications include Φ48.3mm × 3.2mm or Φ48.3mm × 3.0mm, balancing strength and weight for convenient installation and transportation.

B.Aluminum Alloy Materials
Aluminum alloy scaffolding refers to systems manufactured from aluminum alloy materials. Aluminum alloy’s lightweight, high strength, and corrosion resistance make it easier to transport and install compared to traditional steel scaffolding, while also offering excellent weather resistance and service life. Aluminum alloy scaffolding is commonly used in construction, maintenance, and decoration, suitable for mid-to-high-rise operations and scenarios requiring frequent assembly/disassembly.
Advantages: Lightweight, easy to transport, strong oxidation resistance, rust-resistant, clean and aesthetically pleasing appearance, quick assembly/disassembly, saving construction time.
C.Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel
Hot-dip galvanized scaffolding refers to steel scaffolding treated with the hot-dip galvanizing process. By immersing it in molten zinc at high temperatures, a uniform, dense, and highly adhesive zinc coating is formed. This layer effectively prevents oxidation and corrosion of the steel, significantly enhancing the scaffolding’s durability and service life.
Advantages: Strong rust resistance, suitable for outdoor or humid environments, smooth surface reducing the risk of scratches for construction personnel, long service life, and reduced maintenance costs.
2.Scaffolding Production Process Flow
A.Raw Material Inspection
Upon arrival, raw materials undergo rigorous quality testing, including chemical composition analysis, mechanical property testing, and dimensional tolerance checks. Only steel pipes meeting national or international standards proceed to subsequent production stages.
B.Automated Cutting
Using CNC cutting equipment, steel pipes are precisely sectioned according to scaffolding design drawings to ensure dimensional accuracy for subsequent assembly.
C.Punching and Forming
Multiple precise holes are punched at designated points on vertical poles, crossbars, diagonal braces, etc. Some products also require coil welding and disc positioning, where process accuracy directly impacts structural safety.
D.Welding Process
Welding is one of the most critical steps in scaffold manufacturing. High-quality welding ensures full, pore-free, crack-free welds that achieve the required weld strength.
E.Straightening and Grinding
After welding, some components may experience minor deformation due to thermal expansion and contraction. Hydraulic straightening machines correct these distortions, ensuring components remain straight and flat. Welds and ports undergo mechanical grinding to achieve smooth, burr-free surfaces, facilitating on-site installation.
F.Surface Treatment Processes
Common scaffolding surface treatments include hot-dip galvanizing, electrogalvanizing, spray coating, and sandblasting with rust-proof paint. Hot-dip galvanizing offers the best corrosion resistance for long-term outdoor use; electrogalvanizing provides a bright finish at lower cost; spray coating allows color customization and aesthetics but has poor durability; sandblasting with rust-proof paint suits moderate protection requirements.
G.Assembly and Inspection
Upon completion of all components, sample assembly and performance testing are conducted: load-bearing capacity and stability tests, dimensional and fit precision inspections, surface adhesion and corrosion resistance tests. Only qualified products are packaged for storage, awaiting shipment to domestic and international clients.
