The small length of the filler weld is 50mm. if the direction of the shortcoming on the base material of the steel pipe, the filler weld should be along the circumferential direction.

Patch welding seam should be repaired and ground, so that the transition with the original appearance of the steel pipe steep. The height of the parent material shall not exceed 1.5mm after repair and grinding.

The shortcomings should be eradicated clean before repair. Patch weld should be completely organized to make it fit the welding requirements.

After repairing the steel pipe should be in accordance with SY/T5037 specification 5.5.1 to do hydrostatic test.

Spiral steel pipe in the process of making spiral welded pipe, the following issues need to be noted.

1, oiling and marking: the spiral steel pipe in the inspection of qualified oiling operation to prevent corrosion, and marking according to customer requirements.

2, leveling and milling: the use of anvil machine to level the original curl of the steel plate, and then through the milling machine on both edges of the steel plate double-sided milling, so that the required plate width, plate edge parallelism and bevel shape.

3、Shear forming: the steel plate will be spirally curled into a tube along the outer edge.

4、Butt welding and cutting: Pre-welding by double-sided submerged arc welding technology, inner welding and outer welding. The welded steel pipe will be cut into standard length using plasma ruler. 5.

5. Visual inspection: Some basic parameters are checked by professional technicians.

6. Ultrasonic flaw detection: 100% inspection of the inner and outer welding seam and the base material on both sides of the weld.

7、X-ray flaw detection: 100% X-ray industrial television inspection of the internal and external welds, using image processing system to ensure the sensitivity of the flaw detection.

8、Pressure test: Spiral steel pipe is inspected one by one on the water pressure test machine to ensure that the steel pipe meets the standard test pressure requirements.

9, chamfering and flat head: the spiral steel pipe will be inspected after passing the pipe end processing, to achieve the required pipe end bevel size.

10. post-inspection: spiral steel pipe again for ultrasonic and X-ray flaw detection and magnetic particle inspection of the pipe end, to check whether there are welding problems and defects in the pipe end.
